HC15 うちや is a small handcrafted wooden bowl designed for everyday use throughout the home. Its compact form makes it suitable for the kitchen, entrance or bedside table, holding garlic and herbs, keys, watches, jewelry and other small objects.
The surface is inspired by the raked patterns found in Japanese Zen gardens. Gravel or sand is carefully shaped into flowing lines and concentric circles, creating patterns that can evoke water, waves and natural movement. The repetitive act of raking is also associated with a quiet, meditative practice.
For HC15, this idea is translated into solid wood. The concentric lines are carved directly into the surface, giving the bowl a distinctive tactile quality while referencing the movement and rhythm of a raked Zen garden.
Each piece is handmade in Denmark, making every bowl subtly unique.
