hc51 dining table
The HC51 is a dining table made from solid dark fumed oak, designed with a focus on simple form and lasting materials. The tabletop is built from two carefully selected boards, joined by custom brass rods that subtly show along the center line, adding both strength and a discreet visual detail. The V-shaped legs, also in fumed oak, are connected by 6mm solid brass angles.
Fumed oak & brass details
Depending on the light and angle, the brass elements either catch the eye or quietly blend into the oak. This gentle contrast brings a calm and balanced expression to the piece. Designed to be lived with, and looked at.
Available upon request. Prices from 59..000 DKK

We primarily craft our cutting boards from FSC certified European oak, selected for its durability, natural beauty, and timeless appeal. Across our collections, we also work with reclaimed historic timber, walnut, beech, and other carefully sourced hardwoods. Combined with quality materials like brass and stainless steel, each piece is designed to last for generations and age beautifully with use.
-
Replace everyday plastic with natural materials that last. Recent research has shown that plastic cutting boards can shed microplastics into food during everyday use. A solid wood cutting board is a durable and sustainable alternative that can last for decades with proper care, reducing both plastic waste and the need for frequent replacement while supporting a healthier kitchen environment.

Japanese design has long inspired our approach to craftsmanship, simplicity, and longevity. Guided by principles such as Kansō (simplicity), Mottainai (respect for resources), and Kintsugi (finding beauty in imperfection), we create timeless pieces that are made to be used, repaired, and cherished for generations. Combined with Scandinavian design traditions, this philosophy shapes the essence of Hagenør.

Kintsugi
In contrast to conventional repairs, kintsugi highlights flaws, celebrating the wood's history and character
selecting imperfect
In the selection phase of our kintsugi-inspired pieces, We look for wood with character – the kind others might discard or fill with epoxy to hide its imperfections. But for us, these natural cracks, knots, and textures are where the story begins.
By respecting the natural character of the wood, each board becomes a unique piece of art – not despite its flaws, but because of them.
