Care and Maintenance

All cutting boards are treated with a all-natural and food safe finish consisting of a blend of mineral oil, linseed oil, beeswax and canuba wax which make the boards water resistent, smooth to the touch and food grade.

How to maintain

To make the cutting board as good as new after much use, apply it with oil, preferably food safe mineral oil but cooking will also do (for instance coconut, sunflower, rapeseed or olive oil).

How to clean

Since the board is made from solid oak, do not clean it in the dishwasher (the hot water and detergent will warp the wood and flush out the oil and wax).

Give it a good rinse with water on both sides (even if you have only used one side) and clean it with a dish brush. If needed use dish soap lightly. Dry it with a kitchen cloth and place it upright (so you have airflow on both sides).
